thedailywhat: How About That of the Day: Jimmy Fallon announced today that he will be hosting Saturday Night Live on December 17th — his first time hosting the show he left in 2004. For die-hard fans of the show (that’s a thing, right?), this announcement comes as no surprise. Indeed, Fallon’s hosting gig was predicted to the month in an SNL skit from 1998, which featured the now-Late Night host haunting Alec Baldwin as the “Ghost of Hosts Future.” In the skit, which aired on December 12, 1998, Fallon tells Baldwin he will “become a huge star in the future [and] host the show in the year 2011.” The two then travel to December 12, 2011, where Fallon shows Baldwin footage of the former being introduced as host by “Don Pardo 9000.” Eerie!
